Why isn’t my transponder key opening the car door?

There are two possible causes to this problem. In case the battery is dead, it should be replaced. With proper programming, the transponder key will start working flawlessly again. If the chip inside has failed, however, repair will usually not be possible. You will need to get a replacement key which will need to be activated to work with your vehicle.
